Farm, Bush Stay and BushDrop Terms

Listing on Bushkir requires a paid monthly membership. Booking fees depend on your membership: Starter R499 a month — 10% on Bushkir bookings and 5% on your own direct-link bookings; Professional R999 a month — 8% and 4.5%; Premium R1 999 a month — 6% and 4%. Bush Stay memberships are R499 a month at Starter rates.

Memberships renew monthly. If payment fails, your account is paused and your listings are hidden until payment is brought up to date. Bushkir may change fees on thirty (30) days' written notice; existing confirmed bookings keep the rate that applied when they were made.

Everything you publish must be true and current: farm size, terrain, species and available numbers, prices, accommodation, catering, amenities, photographs and the professional hunter or staff who will be present. Photographs must be of your own property. FreshCheck stock numbers must be updated whenever they change.

Misleading listings, bait-and-switch pricing and photographs that are not yours are grounds for immediate removal from Bushkir without a refund of membership fees.

A confirmed booking is a binding contract between you and the guest. You must keep the dates, the price, the species and the accommodation exactly as booked, unless the guest agrees in writing to a change through Bushkir.

If you cancel a confirmed booking at any time before the guest arrives, the guest receives a 100% refund of everything they paid through Bushkir. This applies to farms, Bush Stays and BushDrops, whatever the reason for the cancellation. If you have already been paid out, you authorise Bushkir to recover the full amount from your next payout or to invoice you for it, payable within seven (7) days. Repeated cancellations reduce your BushScore and may end your membership.

You warrant that you own or lawfully control the property, that you hold every permit, exemption, hunting and landowner authorisation required in your province, that your professional hunters and outfitters are registered where the law requires it, and that you comply with all animal welfare, conservation, TOPS, CITES and firearm legislation.

You must also comply with health and safety, labour, tax and consumer protection law, and with any hygiene and registration rules that apply to food, accommodation and game meat on your property.

You are responsible for the safety of guests on your property: safe vehicles and hunting practices, competent staff, working first-aid equipment, a stated emergency plan and safe accommodation. You must carry public liability insurance appropriate to hunting and hospitality operations, and produce proof on request.

You indemnify Bushkir against any claim arising from your property, your staff, your animals, your vehicles or your services, except to the extent that Bushkir itself is at fault.

Guest payments are collected through Bushkir's payment provider. Bushkir deducts the applicable commission on accommodation (never on animals) and any payment-processing fee, and pays the balance into your verified bank account under the Payments, Fees and Payouts policy — normally after the guest has arrived. Chargebacks, refunds and disputed amounts may be withheld or recovered from later payouts.

Animal and trophy invoices are normally issued by the farm directly to the hunter. You are responsible for your own VAT and tax obligations.

Where a guest first found you through Bushkir, bookings with that guest for the following twelve months must be processed through Bushkir or your Bushkir direct link. Taking a Bushkir-introduced guest off-platform to avoid booking fees entitles Bushkir to invoice the fee that would have been due and to end your membership.

Guests may review you honestly, and reviews are not removed simply because they are unflattering. BushScore is calculated by Bushkir from verification, reviews, FreshCheck updates, cancellations and listing quality. You grant Bushkir a licence to use your listing photographs and information to promote your listing and the platform, including in Bushkir marketing and social media.

You may cancel your membership at any time; fees already paid are not refunded, and confirmed bookings must still be honoured. Bushkir may suspend or remove a listing immediately for unpaid membership, unsafe or unlawful conduct, dishonest listings, repeated cancellations, or unresolved guest complaints.

Guest information shared with you may only be used for that booking, and must be handled in line with POPIA. This agreement is governed by South African law.
