Terms and Conditions

Bushkir is a South African online marketplace and trip-management platform for hunting, guest-farm accommodation and related outdoor services. In these terms, “Bushkir”, “we” and “us” mean Bushkir and its operators. “You” means the person or business using the platform.

You can reach us at info@bushkir.co.za. All amounts on the platform are in South African rand (ZAR).

By creating an account, listing on Bushkir, making a booking or sending an enquiry, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

If you use Bushkir on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business, and the business is bound along with you.

You must be 18 or older to hold an account. Minors may take part in a hunt or a stay only under the responsibility of a booking adult.

We provide the listings, verification checks, availability, booking record, messaging, Hunt Rooms, matching tools and payment facilitation. We do not own the farms, guide the hunts, run the accommodation, process meat or supply partner services.

Every hunt, stay or service booked through Bushkir is a contract between you and the farm, host or partner. Bushkir is not a party to that contract, other than as payment facilitator and keeper of the booking record and the policies published on this site.

Give accurate details, keep them up to date and keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect someone else has access.

Hunter accounts, farm accounts, stay-host accounts and partner accounts are separate. Farms, stay hosts and partners reach their portal only while their membership is paid and their application is approved.

Farms, hosts and partners are responsible for the truth of everything in their listing — species, prices, dates, photographs, permits, facilities and availability. Listings that are misleading are removed, and repeated breaches end the membership without a refund.

We verify what we reasonably can, but we do not warrant that every detail in every listing is correct or that any particular animal will be seen or taken.

A booking is confirmed once it is accepted and the required payment is received. The price shown at the time of booking is the price that applies, including the breakdown of the daily rate, accommodation, meals and any professional-hunter fee.

Farms and hosts pay a monthly membership and a commission on the accommodation portion of bookings only (never on animals, trophy, harvest or meat), at the rate of their package. These rates are published on the listing pages and in the Payments and Payouts policy. Hunters and guests pay no separate Bushkir fee.

Animal or trophy invoices are normally issued by the farm directly, unless the farm has asked Bushkir to invoice on its behalf.

Cancellations, refunds and no-shows are governed by our Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: if a host cancels before arrival, the guest gets a full refund.

All hunting on Bushkir must comply with South African national and provincial legislation, landowner permissions, permit requirements and ethical fair-chase practice. Illegal hunting, baiting where prohibited, hunting protected species without a permit, or any cruelty results in immediate removal from the platform and may be reported to the authorities.

Firearm licences, transport, import and export permits and trophy paperwork are the responsibility of the hunter and the farm, not Bushkir.

Do not misuse the platform: no fraud, no fake listings or reviews, no taking bookings off-platform to avoid fees, no scraping, no attempts to break our security, and no harassment of other users.

We may suspend or close any account that breaches these terms, and withhold payouts linked to fraud or a chargeback until the matter is resolved.

You keep ownership of your photographs, descriptions and reviews. By uploading them you give Bushkir a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and promote them on the platform, in search results and in Bushkir marketing. Only upload material you have the right to use.

Hunting and outdoor activities carry real risk. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Bushkir is not liable for injury, death, loss or damage arising from a hunt, stay or service booked through the platform. Our liability in any matter is limited to the Bushkir fees we received on the booking concerned. See the Safety and Liability policy.

Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 that cannot be limited.

We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and our Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on the platform, and continued use after that counts as acceptance. The version that applies to a booking is the version published when the booking was made.

Raise any complaint first through our complaints process. These terms are governed by South African law, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction. You may also approach the National Consumer Commission or a recognised consumer ombud.
