Service Partner Terms
For meat processors, butcheries, abattoirs, taxidermists, transporters, shops, trainers, guides and every other business listed in Bushkir Partners.
This document is written to protect both you and Bushkir, and applies as published. It should still be reviewed by a qualified South African attorney before it is relied on in a dispute.
1. Approval and Membership
Every partner application is reviewed by Bushkir before the business appears publicly. Prices may only be published once your business is approved. Listings require a paid monthly membership, which renews monthly; if payment fails, your listing is hidden until it is brought up to date.
Approval is not an endorsement or a guarantee of your work. Bushkir may withdraw approval at any time for the reasons set out below.
2. Registration and Compliance
You warrant that your business is lawfully registered and holds every licence, registration and certificate its trade requires — including meat safety and abattoir registration, health and hygiene certificates, cold-chain compliance, taxidermy and CITES permits, transport and roadworthy requirements, firearm dealer or training accreditation, and professional registrations where applicable. You must give Bushkir proof on request and tell us immediately if any of it lapses.
3. Prices, Quotes and Availability
Prices and turnaround times you publish must be accurate, in South African rand and inclusive of VAT where you are registered. A quote you send through Bushkir is binding for the period stated on it. Keep availability current and answer enquiries promptly — repeated non-response leads to removal from MeatMatch and search results.
4. Your Contract With the Customer
Work you do for a hunter, farm or guest is a contract between you and that customer. Unless the service is paid through Bushkir, you invoice and collect payment directly. You carry full responsibility for the quality, safety and timeliness of your work, for goods in your care, and for anything you deliver or transport.
5. Care of Meat, Trophies and Goods
Carcasses, meat, skins, horns and trophies handed to you remain the customer's property. You must keep them identifiable, store them correctly, maintain the cold chain where required, and keep records of what you received and returned. You are liable for loss, spoilage, mislabelling, mixing up customers' animals, or damage while goods are in your care.
6. Insurance and Indemnity
You must carry public liability insurance, and goods-in-transit or care-custody-and-control cover appropriate to your trade. You indemnify Bushkir against every claim arising from your services, your premises, your staff, your vehicles or your products, except to the extent Bushkir is itself at fault.
7. Honest Listings and Reviews
Photographs, descriptions, accreditations and claims in your listing must be true and your own. Where you list in showcase mode and send customers to your own website, that website's prices and stock are your responsibility. Customers may review you honestly; reviews are not removed for being unflattering. Incentivising or faking reviews is a breach of these terms.
8. Going Around Bushkir
Customers introduced to you by Bushkir should be quoted and invoiced through the platform where the service was offered through it. Deliberately taking Bushkir-introduced work off-platform to avoid fees entitles Bushkir to invoice the fee that would have been due and to end your membership.
9. Suspension and Removal
Bushkir may suspend or remove a partner immediately for expired licences, health or safety failures, cruelty or unlawful conduct, repeated complaints, dishonest listings, or non-payment of membership. Membership fees already paid are not refunded in these cases.
10. Data and Law
Customer information shared with you may only be used for that job and must be handled in line with POPIA. These terms are governed by South African law.
